State Representative John Becker is currently serving his fourth term at the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 65th House District in northwestern Clermont County, which includes parts of the cities of Loveland and Milford, the entirety of the villages of Newtonsville and Owensville, as well as Goshen, Miami, Stonelick, Union, and Wayne townships.

12.10.18 - State Representative Becker Introduces Township Funding Bill Repealing Unfunded Mandate

 

COLUMBUS—State Representative John Becker (R-Union Township, Clermont County) today announced the introduction of legislation he has sponsored that would augment the Local Government Fund (LGF) by $25 million per fiscal year. House Bill 784 would also repeal the prevailing wage mandate, allowing state and local governments to stretch tax dollars by paying employees based on their varied skills. This model allows those governments to retain the best talent to serve their communities while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

COLUMBUS—State Representative John Becker (R-Union Township, Clermont County) voted in favor of House Bill 258, otherwise known as the “Heartbeat Bill.” If signed into law, the legislation would put in place some of the nation’s strongest protections for the unborn.

COLUMBUS—State Representative John Becker (R-Union Township, Clermont County) today announced passage of legislation requiring the Ohio Treasurer of State to create and maintain the Ohio State Government Expenditure Database, improving government transparency and accessibility for Ohioans. House Bill 40, sponsored by Reps. Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) and Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake), essentially makes permanent the database that was created by current Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, ensuring future state treasurers will continue to offer Ohioans access to state expenditure information, free of charge.
