Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed Representative Jim Butler Chair of the House Civil Justice Committee for the 132nd General Assembly.


“After having served as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee for the past two General Assemblies, I thank Speaker Rosenberger for his continued trust in naming me to this post,” said Rep. Butler.  “There is a great deal of important work to be done for Ohioans in the next two years.”


During the 130th and 131st General Assemblies, Rep. Butler Chaired the Judiciary Committee.  The Civil Justice Committee will examine proposed legislation in the areas of commercial, civil and business law.
