State Representative Jim Butler is currently serving his second elected term as a member of

the Ohio House of Representatives.  He represents the 41st House District in Montgomery

County (Centerville, Kettering, Oakwood and portions of Riverside and Dayton). 

Representative Butler is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.  He also serves on

the House Health and Aging Committee and the Government Accountability and Oversight Committee.

Today, State Representative Jim Butler (R–Oakwood) announced passage of House Bill 290, which gives terminally ill patients, with the recommendation of their treating physician, the opportunity to access drugs that are still in the trial period with the United States Food and Drug Administration.

 
 

02.16.16 - State Rep. Jim Butler Introduces Legislation To Eliminate Ohio's Unemployment Compensation Debt

 

Today, State Representative Jim Butler (R-Oakwood) introduced House Bill 467, legislation to eliminate Ohio’s $775 million unemployment compensation debt currently owed to the federal government.  Under the bill, money will be loaned from the rainy day fund to the unemployment compensation fund for the purpose of fully repaying Ohio’s debt before businesses are assessed additional penalties.
