Rep. Miranda commends release of $300,000 in grant funding for local job creation projects

Magna Machines, Faxon Machining to receive Job Creation Tax Credit from JobsOhio

State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) today announced the release of $300,000 in grant project funding to local businesses Magna Machines and Faxon Machining from JobsOhio, Ohio’s statewide and private economic development company, and regional partner REDI Cincinnati.

“I am excited for the all the investment coming to Forest Park,” said Miranda. “Successful and unique companies like these are crucial for the future of the city of Forest Park and the Cincinnati region. It is important to recognize and commend efforts that support local economic development. I am excited to see what the future holds for Magna Machine and Faxon Machining, and look forward to more high quality jobs coming to my district.”

Magna Machine, which builds, repairs and remanufacturers industrial machinery in the city of Forest Park in Hamilton County, received a Revitalization Grant for $150,000 and anticipates the creation of 12 new full time jobs.

Faxon Machining, which specializes in maintaining Computer Numerical Control machines, received the Economic Development Grant for $150,000 and expects to create 85 new full time jobs.

These local projects are among 92 total projects selected by JobsOhio and REDI Cincinnati, symbolizing over 6,600 new jobs and $656,856,218 in new fixed assets investment commitment to House District 28.
