Representing Parma, Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, and part of southwest Cleveland, Jeff Crossman began his first term serving the Ohio House in January 2019. Jeff is a dedicated public servant and brings his five years of experience as a Parma City Councilman to the Statehouse.

While serving on Parma’s City Council, Jeff was instrumental in crafting a balanced city budget, oversaw a wide array of local governmental operations, worked to improve neighborhoods and keep them safe. Jeff is also a former member of Parma’s Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

“People are tired of phony calls for ‘thoughts and prayers.’ It’s long past time for action. I’m sickened by these senseless tragedies that continue to occur because legislators refuse to engage in dialogue about common sense solutions,” said Crossman

 
 

08.01.19 - Rep. Crossman Announces Upcoming Back-to-school Sales Tax Holiday Weekend

 

State Rep. Jeffrey A. Crossman (D-Parma) today announced the upcoming back-to-school Ohio sales tax holiday will take place starting on Friday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 4th. In 2018, state lawmakers passed legislation making this three-day, back-to-school sales tax holiday a recurring holiday each year.

“I am pleased that the state has decided to continue to support this important cost saving measure,” said Rep. Crossman “As Ohio families prepare for the upcoming school year, this tax holiday will help them prepare without breaking the bank. We hope students, parents, and educators all have an opportunity to participate this weekend.”

State Reps. Janine Boyd (D-Cleveland Heights), Stephanie Howse (D-Cleveland), and Jeff Crossman (D-Parma) today applauded the recently announced expansion of services to Cleveland-area nonprofits through the release of $1.1 million dollar grant provided by UnitedHealthcare, Inc. 

“We appreciate United Healthcare’s dedication to helping our nonprofits meet our residents’ healthcare needs. I am particularly pleased to see United Healthcare’s support for supplying food pantries with the resources they need to continue serving their clients. Access to healthy foods mean healthy outcomes and emergency food resources are not typically considered in the same conversation as health care providers so this is certainly welcome and appreciated.”–said Rep.
