State Rep. Jack Cera (D-Bellaire) will host a Town Hall meeting Thursday, August 9, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Martins Ferry Library. Cera will be on hand to take questions and update constituents in the 96th House District about efforts to bring oil and gas money back to Eastern Ohio, investing in infrastructure and local communities and his push to eliminate corruption and waste in state agencies. The event is free and open to the public.

Jack Cera (D-Bellaire) today joined colleagues from the Ohio House in sponsorship of House Bill (HB) 308, which would make any peace officer, firefighter or emergency medical worker diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) eligible for compensation and benefits from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC), regardless of whether he/she suffers an accompanying physical injury. Cera Sees Success Of Transportation Budget Amendment As New ODOT Program Takes Shape Earmarking Tax Dollars For Shale Area

 

As the lead Democrat on the House Finance Committee, state Representative Jack Cera (D-Bellaire) worked hard to secure a portion of the gas tax dollars in last year’s transportation budget to assist local governments with road and bridge repairs.  By working across the aisle, Cera was successfully able to earmark $5 million from Ohio’s gas tax dollars for a new program administered by ODOT called the Local Roads Oil and Shale Program.
