In our great state of Ohio, we are fortunate enough to be home to approximately 900,000 veterans. Devoting their lives to protecting the freedoms and rights of our nation, these brave servicemen and women are truly American heroes. As members of the Ohio House, it is our rightful duty and obligation to honor these individuals and to help make their transition back into civilian life as smooth and successful as possible.
Since 2007, drug overdoses have become the leading cause of accidental deaths in Ohio. These deaths are as preventable as they are tragic, which is why the Ohio House has been working hard to pass legislation that places restrictions on opioids and prescription drugs – measures that work to mitigate and drastically reduce the number of accidental fatal drug overdoses.
Representatives Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) and Ron Maag (R- Lebanon), as well as Senator Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) greeted the seniors and coaches of the Clinton-Massie football team at the state capitol on Wednesday. The team was recognized for its repeat state title in Ohio High School Athletic Association Division IV football.
