It’s National Teacher Appreciation Week, a week during which we have the opportunity to thank teachers for the work they do to educate our children. As chairman of the House Education Committee, I have had the opportunity to work with some of Ohio’s finest educators.

Businesses throughout Ohio recently experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to file local income taxes.

In an effort to obtain feedback from the residents of the 77th Ohio House District, State Representative Gerald Stebelton (R-Lancaster) encourages his constituents to fill out and return his legislative survey, which seeks feedback on issues such as reform to Ohio’s tax code, Medicaid expansion, and an increase on the state’s severance tax.

Governor Kasich laid out details about the state’s budget, including issues relating to education during his State of the State Address in Lima. His budget proposal is now being reviewed and analyzed in the House Finance and Appropriations Committee of which I am a member.
