COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today appointed State Representative George Lang (R-West Chester) to serve on the House Finance Committee.

“I am humbled and honored to be appointed to the House Finance Committee, and I thank Speaker Rosenberger for having that trust and confidence in me,” Lang said. “My focus as a state representative has been, and will continue to be, to make Ohio a better place for both families and businesses to flourish. I am eager to begin working with Chairman Ryan Smith and the other committee members in the coming weeks and months.”

Rep. Lang is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives, after being appointed to the 52nd District seat in September. His previous government experience includes serving seven years on the West Chester Board of Zoning Appeals and 14 years serving as a West Chester Township trustee. In the House, he also serves on the Community & Family Advancement Committee and the Criminal Justice Committee.

“Thanks to his many years working at the local government level, Rep. Lang brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help guide policies that will set up our state for future economic growth,” Rosenberger said. “As George assumes this new role, I look forward to continuing our work together to achieve our shared goals, both for the 52nd District and for the state as a whole.”

The 52nd District includes West Chester, Liberty and Fairfield townships, as well as part of Sharonville.
