COLUMBUS— State Representative Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today applauded Lorain County Health and Dentistry for being one of forty-six Ohio Community Health Centers to receive the Quality Improvement Award, funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Community Health Centers (CHCs) are non-profit health care providers that deliver affordable, high-quality and comprehensive primary care to medically underserved populations, regardless of insurance status. Lorain County Health and Dentistry received more than $111,000 in federal funding for being clinical quality improvers, national quality leaders, advancing health information technology for quality, and patient centered medical home recognition.

“It is great to see the hard work of Lorain County Health and Dentistry be recognized,” said Rep. Manning. “They are a vital asset to our community, and the staff works daily to provide quality services to the underserved.”

Forty-six health centers received awards totaling over $3.4 million in Ohio.
