NORTH RIDGEVILLE - 

State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) has announced that the House Tax Reform Legislative Study Committee will be meeting tomorrow.


The hearing will be held Thursday, September 12th at the North Ridgeville City Council Chambers (7307 Avon Belden Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039) at 10 a.m. All tax issues will be up for discussion, with the exception of the municipal income tax.


Anyone wishing to offer testimony should bring a written version of the testimony to the committee hearing by 10 a.m. Due to the limited time available for testimony, Chairman Scherer asks that it is limited to five minutes per presentation to allow adequate time for questions and conversation.


The Tax Reform Study Committee is one of three study committees being conducted this summer by the Ohio House of Representatives.

State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) yesterday was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 92nd Ohio House District, which includes Fayette County, as well as portions of Pickaway and Ross counties.  This will be his third full term as state representative.

"Shared Work" Program Passes House

 
COLUMBUS - 

The Ohio House of Representatives unanimously passed Sub. House Bill 37,, legislation sponsored by State Representatives Mike Duffey (R-Worthington) and Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) to help prevent layoffs across the state. The bill is now headed to the Ohio Senate where a companion bill has already passed, indicating a likelihood of bill passage in the near future.
