Columbus - 

State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) yesterday was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 92nd Ohio House District, which includes Fayette County, as well as portions of Pickaway and Ross counties.  This will be his third full term as state representative.


“It is a pleasure to once again to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of the Ohio House 92nd District,” said Rep. Scherer. “I look forward to tackling the issues we face in our communities during the 132nd General Assembly.”


Prior to joining the Ohio House, Representative Scherer served as president of the Circleville Rotary Club and the Circleville-Pickaway Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a trustee of the Berger Health System. Among other involvement, he continues to maintain his membership in the Ohio Farm Bureau, as well as his position as a finance committee member of his local church. Representative Scherer and his wife of 40 years reside in Circleville. They have been blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.

House Honors Medal Of Honor Recipient And Others With Memorial Highways

 

COLUMBUS— House Bill 276 passed the House unanimously, designating Master Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Edward C. Byers, Jr., Medal of Honor Recipient Highway on parts of State Route 65 in Wood County. This bill also designates multiple memorial highways and bridges across the state, including two Memorial Highway designations in House District 92, announced State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville).



 
 

Rep. Gary Scherer Announces Sales Tax Holiday For First Weekend Of August

 
Columbus - 

State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) today announced that a sales tax holiday will be held this weekend, an opportunity for parents to receive some tax relief during back-to-school shopping in preparation for the new school year which will also stimulate economic activity for Ohio’s retailers. This year’s sales tax holiday was established by the state operating budget, House Bill 49.
