08.21.19 - Reps. Crawley, Boggs And Lightbody Held Ohio Promise Town Hall

 

State Reps. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus), Erica C. Crawley (D-Columbus) and Mary Lightbody (D-Westerville) yesterday held a community town hall as part of the Ohio Promise Town Hall Tour, a statewide legislative town hall series hosted by House Democratic members. The purpose of the tour is to hear from constituents in their districts about their most pressing concerns, answer questions, and discuss the state budget, bipartisan priorities and a number of recent Democratic-led, legislative wins for working people and families.

“It was great to have our neighbors join us as we discussed our work in the Statehouse,” said Rep. Crawley. “We want to make sure that people always remember that we work for them and have discussions on what topics are important to them in order to pass meaningful legislation.”

07.25.19 - Crawley Announces Upcoming Back-to-school Sales Tax Holiday Weekend

 

State Rep. Erica C. Crawley (D-Columbus) today announced the upcoming back-to-school Ohio sales tax holiday that will take place starting on Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4. In 2018, state lawmakers passed legislation making this three-day, back-to-school sales tax holiday a recurring holiday each year.

“There are so many items that students need to be successful in the classroom,” said Rep. Crawley. “This is an excellent opportunity for Ohio families to take advantage of some back-to-school shopping, while keeping some of their hard earned money in their pockets.”

 
 

07.23.19 - Rep. Crawley: Misguided Bailout Costly For Consumers, Ohio's Clean Energy Future

 

State Rep. Erica C. Crawley (D-Columbus) today issued a statement in opposition to House Bill (HB) 6, a Republican-sponsored bill to bail out Ohio’s nuclear power plants and subsidize two additional coal-fired power plants that service the state. The bill also guts Ohio’s renewable and energy efficiency standards, which opponents say will hurt job growth in emerging clean energy industries.

Ohio state Rep. Erica C. Crawley (D-Columbus) today voted in opposition to the finalized version of the state budget, House Bill (HB) 166. Today’s vote follows more than two weeks of Republican dysfunction and gridlock, which forced lawmakers to pass a short-term funding extension before finally compromising on a long-term deal late Tuesday.

“After two weeks of uncertainty, this budget takes a few steps forward but does not make significant investments in children and continues to benefit the wealthy,” said Crawley.
