COLUMBUS -

Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) has appointed State Representative Doug Green (R-Mount Orab) to serve on the Tax Reform Legislative Study Committee, one of three bipartisan committees that will meet over the summer.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on this committee and to hear the ideas of the people of Ohio regarding further tax reforms and policies,” Green said.

The study committee will hold a series of hearings across the state through August and September to gather information from both citizens and experts alike to assist in formulating a final report and possible legislative recommendations.

Rep. Gary Scherer (R-Circleville), who chairs the committee, released information about the first hearing. It will be held August 14th at the Ohio University Chillicothe Branch (101 University Drive, Chillicothe, OH 45601) at 10 a.m.

Future scheduling information will be released at a later time.
