COLUMBUS -

State Representative Doug Green (R-Mt. Orab) is encouraging undergraduate students from the 66th House District to apply for Ohio House of Representatives legislative page opportunities. Paging for the legislature provides an opportunity for self-motivated, outgoing college students to gain an understanding of the legislative process by actively participating in it.

“The page program provides meaningful assistance to the legislators and staff members at the Ohio House,” Rep. Green said. “This is a great way for college students to get their foot in the door and learn more about policy making and state government.”

Page duties include distributing documents, photocopying, retrieving materials from other governmental offices, and delivering messages between members. They also interact with the public regularly, including greeting visitors to the Statehouse, and help members and staff prepare for session.

The program is open to undergraduate students of all major fields of study who have a genuine interest in learning about state government, and no political experience is required.

For more information or for an application and instructions, please contact the Ohio House administrative office by calling (614) 466-4308 or visit the internship opportunities web page at OhioHouse.gov.
