State Representative Dorothy Pelanda (R-Marysville) applauded the approval of a JobsOhio project that is expected to create 200 jobs at Union Tank Car Company in the City of Marion.

“This is a great example of JobsOhio and our area coming together in a collaborative effort,” Pelanda stated.

The project, which was approved during yesterday’s Tax Credit Authority (TCA) meeting, is expected to generate $8.3 million in additional annual payroll, as well as retaining $4.6 million in existing payroll as part of the company’s expansion in Marion.

The TCA approved a 55-percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
