COLUMBUS—State Representative Craig S. Riedel (R-Defiance) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) to the Defiance County Transportation Improvement District Board. The Defiance County TID Board was established to be a cooperative countywide coalition to take advantage of the opportunities and benefits made available through a Transportation Improvement District. There are currently five voting members of the Defiance County TID Board including the three County Commissioners, County Engineer Warren Schlatter, and County Auditor Jill Little.


“I am so honored that the County Commissioners reached out and asked that I be appointed to such a prestigious position. This board helps to improve and enhance Defiance’s transportation infrastructure and economic development, something I am very passionate about,” said Rep. Riedel. “I believe this appointment will help me better understand the needs of Defiance County’s transportation system and will allow me to work with local officials to benefit the people of Defiance County.”


Representative Riedel will be a non-voting member and will serve a two-year term as member of the board.
