COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today issued the following statement regarding the passing of former U.S. Representative Mike Oxley.
"Today, I join with my colleagues in the Ohio House in mourning the loss of former U.S. Rep. Mike Oxley. Although I did not have the opportunity to know him personally, I have always admired his distinguished record of public service to our state and country as a member of the Ohio General Assembly and the United States House of Representatives. He was by all accounts a pragmatic legislator whose accomplishments over his decades of service will have a notably positive impact on the lives of Ohioans for many decades to come. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time."
