COLUMBUS -

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) recently presented a resolution honoring the Wilmington Air Park on receiving the 2015 Ohio Aviation Association Airport of the Year Award.

When the Clinton County Port Authority (CCPA) took over the Wilmington Air Park in 2010, the facility employed about 750 people. Today, Wilmington Air Park employs more than 1,100 workers, with 200 more jobs committed in the near future.

“It is a great honor to be able to recognize the Wilmington Air Park,” said Speaker Rosenberger during House session. “Throughout its history, the Wilmington Air Park has been a heart that pumps blood throughout Clinton County and our communities.”

David Hockaday, Chair of the CCPA Board of Directors, Kevin Carver, Executive Director of CCPA, Beth Huber, Assistant Director of CCPA, and Steve Vibbard, Assistant Airport Director, accepted the resolution on behalf of the Wilmington Air Park.
