COLUMBUS -

State Representative Christina Hagan (R-Alliance) visited Stark State College with Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor this past Monday.

“Stark State College is an excellent resource for our community and has been a leader in getting people equipped and ready for great jobs locally,” said Hagan. “Low cost and quality education that quickly adapts to the needs of the regional employment sector is an excellent example of what higher education should be. Serving people and improving their economic opportunity in life should be central to our mission at all times.”

Rep. Hagan and Lt. Governor Taylor were able to tour the campus and engage in discussions with students, staff and regional employers. The two discussed the importance of workforce development, career pathways and the affordability of college. Stark State College is located in North Canton, has fifteen thousand credit students enrolled and is the largest among the five colleges and universities located in Stark County.

State Representative Christina Hagan is currently serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 50th House District, which includes eastern Stark County.
