Ingram Stands With Ohio Workers, Speaks Out Against GOP Anti-worker Bills
Voices solidarity with Columbus Working People's Day of Action on Feb. 24

State Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) today issued a statement in support of the Working People’s Day of Action planned for Saturday, February 24 at the Ohio Statehouse. The Ohio march comes on the heels of the introduction of six Republican-sponsored constitutional amendments to implement so-called “right to work” legislation and other workplace restrictions in the Buckeye State.

“Being at the rally is a statement in itself. Our job is to make sure we hear the sometimes painful and stressed voices of our constituents, and to fight for what's right. Black History month is a celebration and a perfect time for us to say 'no more’ to restricting freedoms in the workplace – Right to Work Is Wrong!” said Ingram.

Thousands of people will gather in cities across the nation Saturday at similar rallies to make a stand against anti-worker restrictions ahead of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Feb. 26 hearing of Janus v. AFSCME Council 31 – a case that could put right to work restrictions in place for public sector workers across the nation.
