State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today announced the release of $74,369 in state funding to the Stow Armory. The funding was approved last month by the state Controlling Board, a panel tasked with oversight of state spending.

State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) held a community town hall in Hudson on Monday, August 19 as part of the Ohio Promise Town Hall Tour, a statewide legislative town hall series hosted by House Democratic members. The purpose of the tour is to hear from constituents in their districts about their most pressing concerns, answer questions, and discuss the state budget, bipartisan priorities and a number of recent Democratic-led, legislative wins for working people and families.

State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) will host a public town hall meeting on Monday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society, and will feature special guest Minority Leader Emilia Sykes (D-Akron).                        

This town hall provides an excellent opportunity for local residents and business leaders to meet and share their ideas, comments, questions and concerns with Rep. Weinstein regarding all things relating to Ohio state government. These events are free and open to the public.

 
 

07.31.19 - Rep. Weinstein To Hold Summer Town Halls

 

State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) will host two public town hall meetings during the month of August. The first town hall will take place on Wednesday, August 7 from 7:00 p.m. at the Rush Hour Grille in Twinsburg.

The second town hall will be part of the Ohio Promise Town Hall Tour on Monday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society, and will feature special guest Minority Leader Emilia Sykes (D-Akron).

Ohio state Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today issued a statement in support of the finalized version of the state budget, House Bill (HB) 166. Today’s vote follows more than two weeks of gridlock, despite one party rule in both chambers of the legislature, which forced lawmakers to pass a short-term funding extension before finally compromising on a long-term deal late Tuesday.

“Democrats and Republicans alike were able to come together to pass a budget that invests in our communities and fights for exceptional public education at all levels,” said Weinstein. “Although I have my reservations with certain articles, this bill represents an important step in the right direction for our state that will help ensure we live up to the Ohio Promise.”
