In Casey’s family, public service is a way of life. His grandfather, father, brother, brother-in-law, and wife Amanda all served or are serving in the armed forces. He has always strived to actively engage in his community. In Dayton, he was recognized as a ‘Top 40 Under 40’ Community Leader and has been more recently recognized as one of ’30 for the Future’ by the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce. In 2015 he was elected to serve on Hudson City Council, where he worked every day to make a positive impact for his constituents.

As over $100 million in funding sits in jeopardy for critical military infrastructure throughout Ohio, state Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today introduced new legislation urging Congress to override President Trump’s national emergency declaration. The controversial declaration is being used to take funding from existing infrastructure, like military sites in Ohio, to fund wall construction on the United States’ southern border.

State Representative Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today announced his nomination to both the Ohio Aerospace and Aviation Technology Committee and the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3). The son of a military officer who grew up across the nation before attending the United States Air Force Academy, Weinstein brings personal and professional experience to the panels.

 
 

03.08.19 - Weinstein Votes To Support Local Communities In Transportation Budget

 

State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) Thursday voted with a strong bipartisan majority in support of House Bill (HB) 62, the state’s two-year transportation budget, which passed the Ohio House. The bill makes historic investments in local communities to repair crumbling roads and bridges and increases funding for the state’s public transportation systems.
