
State Representative Brian Hill (R-Zanesville) today was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 130th General Assembly. He represents the 97th Ohio House District, which includes Guernsey and most of Muskingum County.
“I am privileged to represent Ohio’s 97th House District and I want to assure my constituency that I will work hard to be a strong voice for southeast Ohio,” said Rep. Hill. “There is much work to be done with the upcoming budget and I look forward to working with my colleagues on these efforts.”
Representative Hill served as a Muskingum County commissioner for more than six years and as a trustee for the Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Abbott Home.
Representative Hill previously worked at ADM Alliance Nutrition, where he assisted farmers with the production and nutrition of livestock. He is a member of the Muskingum County Farm Bureau and Muskingum County Cattleman’s Association.
He raises beef cattle and grows crops at the family farm he co-owns and has helped to manage with his father since 1980. He lives with his wife and three children.
