State Representative Anthony DeVitis (R-Uniontown) recently participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest high school to join the Coventry Local School District. The state-of-the-art high school is located at 1135 Portage Lakes Drive.

“I am pleased to see that the local community worked in coordination with the state to produce funding for this new high school,” Rep. DeVitis said. “Students in the area deserve a high quality education and this school will help them to reach their full potential. I was glad to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony and want to thank the community for all their support on this project.”

Coventry High School is the first and currently only Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) design-build school project.  The OFCC worked with an area architect firm that designed the school with feedback from the board of education and the community. It is designed to house 734 ninth through twelfth grade students.
