State Representative Anthony DeVitis (R-Green) is pleased to announce that four constituents of the 36th Ohio House District received awards at the 2nd Annual All-American Soap Box Derby Statehouse Recognition.


Freddy Atchison, Haley Aull, Laura Geer and Trinity Kubick received top honors in the 75th FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby World Championship. Atchison was an Ohio Rally Masters Champion, finishing first in the world in the Rally Masters Division. Aull was the Akron Suburban Local Super Stock Champion. Geer was an Ohio Rally Masters Champion. Kubick was the Akron Metro Local Stock Champion.


“I was honored to have visited with the Soap Box Derby racers at the Statehouse today,” Rep. DeVitis said. “The derby is a great Akron tradition that will hopefully continue for generations to come. Congratulations to the champions and all other participants. Go Akron Soap Box Derby!”


Sixty-seven young Ohioans who won awards in the derby visited the Ohio Statehouse today and were honored on the House floor.
