House Bill 46 passed in the Ohio House on April 15th, and is now receiving consideration in the Ohio Senate.

04.30.15 - Guest Column: House Bill 2 Would Improve Charter Schools

As your state representative, I believe that one of my most important responsibilities is working to ensure the availability of quality educational opportunities for our children. Charter schools are an important aspect of our educational system in Ohio. Under the leadership of Speaker Clifford Rosenberger, the Ohio House of Representatives made charter school reform a top priority for this General Assembly. House Bill 2, sponsored by my colleagues Mike Dovilla and Kristina Roegner, seeks to address issues of transparency, responsibility, and accountability of charter schools, particularly where sponsors are concerned.
