State Representative Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) recently presented a resolution honoring the bicentennial of Blendon Township.

The resolution reads, in part:

“Since its inception two hundred years ago, Blendon Township has experience dramatic growth and change, and yet, commendably, even as its residents have exuberantly embraced the promise of a bright future, they have never relinquished their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past.”

The township, founded in 1815 as Harrison Township, changed its name to Blendon in 1824.

“It was my pleasure to present this resolution honoring Blendon Township on its bicentennial,” said Rep. Gonzales. “It is a privilege to represent such a unique and vibrant community.”

Blendon Township Administrator Bryan E. Rhoads accepted the resolution on behalf of Blendon Township.
