Upon the Legislature’s unanimous passage of House Bill 23, which creates an Ohio license plate to draw awareness to ovarian cancer, State Representative Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) issued the following statement:

“I’m very pleased that House Bill 23 will be going to Governor Kasich for his signature. I sponsored this bill to bring awareness to ovarian cancer, a disease with which the majority of cases are diagnosed in late stage, making it very hard to treat. Early detection is a key factor in increasing survival rates, and I’m hopeful that this license plate will lead to more education and awareness of this disease. ”
