COLUMBUS - 

State Representative Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) yesterday was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 131st General Assembly. She represents the 19th Ohio House District, which includes portions of northeastern Franklin County.


“I am grateful my friends and neighbors in the 19th District continue to place their trust in me to represent them,” said Gonzales. “I look forward to continuing my work to make Ohio a great place to live and work.”


Representative Gonzales is the former mayor of Westerville and served eight years on Westerville City Council. She also served as a member of the Recreation Advisory Board, Westerville Parks Foundation, the Westerville Planning Commission, the Fire Advisory Board, and COTA Westerville Advisory Council. During her time as a state representative, she has served as chair of the House Finance and Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, Vice Chair of Health and Aging, member of the Public Utilities committee, and member of the Finance and Appropriations committee.


A graduate of Otterbein University, Representative Gonzales has three children with her husband, John.
