COLUMBUS— Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) announced that State Representative Andy Thompson (R-Marietta) has been appointed to serve on three Ohio House committees.


During his final term in the Ohio House, Thompson will be serving on the Agriculture & Rural Development Committee, as well as the Energy & Natural Resources Committee. Earlier this month, he was appointed to the House Finance Committee, which is responsible for deliberating the biennial state operating budget. There, he will chair the Finance Subcommittee on Agriculture, Natural Resources and Development.


“I am excited to continue my role as Chairman of the Finance Subcommittee on Agriculture, Natural Resources and Development, which is extremely important to my district and to our entire state,” Thompson said.


He represents the 95th District, which includes Carroll, Harrison and Noble counties, as well as portions of Washington and Belmont counties.
