State Rep. Alicia Reece (D-Cincinnati) joined the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) earlier this week to present a proclamation to Martin Luther King, III at the Ohio Civil Rights Symposium for his advocacy work for human rights and his involvement in significant policy initiatives for equitable treatment. Rep. Reece introduced keynote speaker Mr. King and spoke about the importance of minority inclusion in the state’s public transportation systems.

This event is the first-ever Civil Rights Symposium hosted by the Ohio Department of Transportation to raise awareness on the values that diversity and inclusion bring to Ohio, its workforce and transportation systems. Civil rights leaders from local businesses, government and academia will engage citizens on issues related to contracting, business development, regulatory compliance and the future of transportation.

Rep. Alicia Reece has spearheaded several incentives and has been a champion for minority owned business.
