During today’s session of the Ohio House of Representatives, State Representative Al Landis (R-Dover) honored the Strasburg High School softball team as the 2013 Division IV state champions.

The victory over North Robinson Colonel Crawford marks Strasburg’s seventh state championship in girls’ softball. The team finished the season with a 30-5 record.

“It was great to have representatives from the 2013 state championship softball team on the House floor today,” said Representative Landis. “The opportunity to recognize this team on winning their 7th state championship title was truly an honor. What a testament to their level of dedication and teamwork!”

Head coach Bud Weisgarber, who is the only head coach in the school’s 29-year history of softball, has an overall record of 658-126.
