04.14.16 - Phillips Eyes Safer Communities, Healthier Ohioans Through Fracking Waste Reform

 

State Rep. Debbie Phillips (D-Albany) today introduced House Bill 522, legislation to tighten regulations on injection wells. The bill will ban the use of Class II injection wells for fracking waste and instead require the use of Class I injection wells, which are designed for hazardous materials and require monitoring for leaks.

 
 

11.17.15 - Democratic Lawmakers Discuss Legislation To Prohibit The Practice Of Conversion Therapy On Minors

 

State Reps. Denise Driehaus (D-Cincinnati) and Debbie Phillips (D-Albany) were joined by Dr. Jim Boyles, a licensed psychologist, and Jody Davis, a conversion therapy survivor, to observe Transgender Day of Remembrance and call for movement on a bill that would ban the practice of conversion therapy on minors.

Today State Rep. Debbie Phillips (D-Albany) announced over $55,771 in state funds to support the Chemical Operator training program as part of the H-1B Tech Skills Training Grant, which provides job training to United States workers seeking employment in specialty and technical occupations often filled by workers from foreign countries.
